Normandy
Accountability committee serves to advise on the Unified Improvement
Plan, school fees and budget, discuss safety issues, and report on the
educational performance of the school. The committee meets once a month
to conduct all school related business.
The Accountability Committee is currently
seeking nominations for the Chair position. The Accountability Chair
facilitates community input, coordinates agendas with the principal, and
facilitates the meetings. The Chair also represents Normandy on
committees as needed. Please contact the Normandy main office,

What is Accountability?
• Make recommendations to the principal concerning priorities for spending school funds (including grants and school fees)
• Provide input for the preparation of
the school’s Performance, Improvement, Priority Improvement, or
Turnaround plan (whichever is applicable)– additional
responsibilities for Priority Improvement or Turnaround
• Meet at least quarterly to discuss implementation of the school’s plan and related student performance data
• Assist school personnel to increase the level of parent engagement in the school
• Provide input and recommendations
concerning principal development plans and the principal evaluation
process on an advisory basis when requested by the district
advisory committee (SPAC) or district administration
• Items above conform to SB09-163 and SB10-191
